My tank stats are spot on and my nitrates are 10.
My tank holds 6 juvenile platies, all females, 2 blue corals, 4 cream/black calicos.  Ages are between 2-4ish months, all virgins.

There is something happening in the tank.  I just don't know what it is.  My fish don't seem sick... no lethargy, no stringy poops, eating great, active, normal color.  But there is something "off" with them.

Fish 1:  Muffin
One of my blue corals (that has previously had some issues, she is more "short" and round than your usual platy and previously had some swim bladder problems that were rectified and haven't re-occured.  But... there is something wrong with her swimming.  There is too much "wiggle" to her swimming.  It isn't the shimmies.  It is like she needs to move more at the back end to swim and her tail isn't opened right.  Her tail isn't clamped, it is more like partially paralyzed, if that makes sense.

Fish 2: Small Calico
She is also showing similar tail issues, her tail not opening properly and looking partially paralyzed but she doesn't have the strange wiggle.

Fish 3:  Calico with Orange
She is developing a curved spin, almost like an S shape.  You can see it looking down at her but wouldn't be able to tell looking at her from the side unless you knew it was there.

Anyhow... I have no idea what this is and I am really despairing with this tank.  By the way, my quarantine tank recently sprung a leak so I no longer have anywhere to move fish.  I do have another larger tank which is not having any issues.

This tank previously had a really nasty bout of ich that was super hard to cure.  So, these fish have been through a lot with that, I lost some during the ich and lost my adult blue coral after who just seemed to starve to death despite that she ate normally.

Do you think this is somehow related? Any idea what this could be?  I am pretty much despairing ever getting platies.  I have one that is made of steel (in my other tank) and another that gets tail fungus on and off (also in the other tank).  But oh!  In this tank it has been nothing but troubles with my platies.  :(

Just wanted to update that my nitrates are 25 and not the 10 from my previous test.

Well, the two with the tails that weren't moving right and wiggly swimming seem to have returned to normal on their own (I did lightly dose with salt just in case that was a help).  The one with the spine taking on an S shape is unchanged... I may euthanize that one as her swimming seems to be affected a bit.

I'm so glad two of them are better!  Sorry I didn't find this thread earlier.  I do think that it would be kindest to euthanize the S shaped fish.  Best of luck!
