Rather than trying to break it, dissolve it in water and when it is down to just a tiny piece left to dissolve, take it out with a spoon, thus cutting the tablet.
The tablet doesn't appear to have had much of an affect on my fish .
I could try another round when a week is up, but I don't know if that'd do much good.
Could it be bacterial? Should I try something like Pimafix?
Also, I can't tell if its just my eyes, but it looks like there's a little white thing on one of her pectorals, so I don't know whether I should do a round of ich treatment...
Agh!
On the other hand, it could very well be a parasite - this one got sick after one with similar symptoms died, so maybe that parasite infected this fish...*sigh*
Can't find the original post where parasites were discussed, was it PM? (i delete them) or could you give us a link to the OP.
If not would you run down the symptoms again, as detailed as poss, i'd love to help.... If i can.
Like you say emaciation can be implicatory toward practically anything.
Then again the infection could be bad so you need a second course
Was it your fish that was flicking?
I get lost in the emergency section, so many non-specific symptoms and threads.
Ok, there's definitely ich spots on her today. *sigh* Maybe its been caused by the stress of the parasite med. I'm going to do a 50% water change and treat with Protozin. Her spine may be looking a little bent too.
Was up to the third day of ich treatment, the spots had disappeared but she has died. A big dark mark had appeared inside her body too, not sure what that means.
