T5's In A Jewel Aquarium

I am hoping to put t5 lighting into my Trigon 350 but do not want to alter the lid.Can anybody spare any advice on this?

surely you can just screw the clips into the lid and run the wires out of the existing holes?

But the bracket that holds the t5s is far too big....?

thought about compact t5's? those would probably fit, if not then just get a smaller t5 tube? if you mean the clips that hold the tube are too big i doubt it, they are only an inch or two long, and they just screw into the top of the hood.
