T5 Tube Lengths

I'm going to buy Hagen 2x24w t5 lighting unit but I'm unsure about bulb lengths, tank is 24" long and I'm going for High light, are all 24w t5 bulbs the same length? They all seem to be about 600mm but my local lfs say they have compact tubes?
