After hilariously being unidentified by me by the common name label of "Zebra Striped Squeaker," it appears that my LFS has had a group of five brichardi on sale for over a year, until I brought on home on Monday (I have been hoping to locate one of these even since deciding on a mainly African riverine collection)!

(S)he has gone into the 540l, after spending one night in the Rio240, but then my better half swears she saw some Lionhead cichlid fry under the Juwel filter, occupied by the recently aggressive pair in my group of four.

I have to confess the thought, hence the thread, of bringing home some more of these catfish has crossed my mind. However, I'm wondering how many could happily live in a 150x60cm footprint if/when I move the Lionhead Cichlids down there, not to mention any conspecific aggression becomes an issue?

Aslong as you have lots of cover i cant see it being a real problem. Ive never kept them but from what ive read on they there fairly peaceful but can defend them self when needed. They wont shoal but they will just keep out of each others way ones they all have there own hiding spots.

Be keen to see some pics - am hoping they are genuine but with the ever increasing business in hybrids, it's not always what you you think it is.
