My Swords did not thrive at all since I moved them outside into a pond.....(allthough they did grow a lot).... I could not put my finger on the problem, cause my other livebearers just thrive being outside in ponds)....
So, this afternoon, I decided to move a couple of them back indoors, & in doing so, I found the problem.... Somehow..... a convict got into this tank, & judging by the size of him..... He had eaten every fry that was born in the past 5 months.....(the top is covered by floating plants, so could not see what was going on below).
It is a mystery how he got in there, but now I'm leaving them outside to see if there is an improvement.....
