HI, I've got 1 female swordtail in a 70l tank along with a few guppies mollies and platties. This evening I noticed she's sort of shimmying, wiggling about but not moving anywhere, about 2/3rds of the way up the tank. She's got her top fin thingy (can't you tell I'm a newbie  ) down and looks very unhappy. I've noticed a white spot near her mouth, although I'm treating for whitespot, it doesn't look like the others when they had whitespot.

Nitrite levels are a tad high at 0.3
PH is at 7.5

any help would be appretiated

Look under shimmies as it sounds like it.
If she has a whitepot on her mouth dosn't sound like whitespot to med, its bacterial, how big is the spot and does it look fluffy.

Yes the spot is bacterial, just go by the article and turn temp up, there is a waterlife med for shimmies i will find it for you.
Thanks.

What do I turn the temp up to? will that affect the other fish (guppies, mollies, platties) There's a couple of baby swords in there too.

This is according to the waterlife article.
To 27°C (85°F

Yes i think so, never had it with my livebearers when i kept them, but in that article it says, parasites, fungi and bacterial, that why in the waterlife article you have to use a parasite med and a bacterial med, do you have them waterlife meds in the house.
I would treat the whole tank anyway.
