Its not offensive but the longer finned varieties are rarer than short finned ones. They also bring a higher price tag. So serous keepers would have mabye a different opinion to you.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I'm not a super serious breeder. lol

Since this was started at about the same time as the guppy competition the moderating team has decided to let it run.

this is my very first baby swordtail,he is over a year and half old now

that is an old pic,his tail is actually longer now.i have a more recent pic,as soon as i put it on photobucket i'll post it.he just became a father for the first time,my wife and i are extremely excited to see what his fry look like when they get bigger.thanks for the compliment.
