Swordtail gravid spots

Do swordtails get gravid spot when they are about to have the fry?

i have a swordtail that is pregnant now and it has a gravid spot. normally when the swordtail is about to give birth,the gravid spot will be a very dark black. what sort of swordtail do you have?

I cant think of the exact name right now but all of them are red. They are not the long finned kind.

Swordtails get a gravid spot, but it's easier too see it in the lighter colors.

mine is an orange swordtail and it didn't have a gravid spot but i could see four eyes.
