Two weeks old, there are about 25 and only one loss so far.

Moving them to an 18" tank tomorrow which I have just finished setting up.

They could do with a few plants, real or fake to make them feel more secure, but they're looking good

You're absolutly right, i'm on to it, thanks for the advice/reply.

Congrats on your progress so far Pete. You will need to stay on top of your water changes. 25 fish in an uncycled tank is quite a large number.

Thanks for the reply, you are correct of course but I should of mentioned in my OP that the substrate and water were from the birth tank, and the internal eheim mini filter was run/matured in the same tank for two weeks.

My golden rule to fishkeeping is keep them hungry and regular partial water changes.

You should do fine then. The 2 weeks is not nearly enough to fully cycle but the frequent water changes will put you in a good situation.

12 weeks, "growing up and were fine"

Aww that's cute! Do you just feed them flake or a varied diet?
The 2 guppy fry I kept will be 9 weeks old on friday - I hope they colour up more!

I'm very lucky, I have a wildlife pond, (no fish just frogs) loads of Algae and daphnia, the fishes thrive on it, flake food to supliment...
Give them time... :good:

wow they look fantastic mine are 2 weeks old don't think they are growing as fast though I do a water change every other day will have to start doing it everyday

and get some live food, its had though as no one sells it near me so will have to travel

Wow those colors! O.O And they seem quite big at around 3 months.
Two of mine were born on April 3rd so they're a bit over a month old and barely 1.3 or so cm. They were extremely small when born, maybe because they were the first fry ever born by my female swordie who is also little.
A fry from her latest batch from a week ago is almost as big as his older siblings and is already colored up (red face, black body) but now I have 2 of the same color and a pink one. -.-
I hope they'll get along with the catfish once I put them into the main tank.

Thank you, one week they look like shards of glass...then suddenly they're perfect little fishes !

It takes my breath away everytime.

I feed them well...but they should always be hungry and searching for food, if you get my drift.
