Swordtail Fry Help

Hi,

I have 10 swordtail fry in a breeding tank all doing perfectly well (born 14th jan).

Some of them have black spots (flecks) on their body. Does this indicate anything (i.e. male/female etc)?

Any help appreciated

its way to soon to tell at 2 days old,
i only just sexed mine at a couple of months,
even then some boys were late to develop and took an extra 2 weeks.

Do they mean anything else i.e. colour?

Do you know how to sex a adult swordtail if so wait until they grow a bit then you will be able to tell which is female or male.

what part of the body is the mark on.

If its on allt he fry im thinking internal organs etc??

No, it is on the outer body. Not any organs. Some have it and some don't
