Hi i came home last night to find some baby swordtail fish in my tank it was very unexpected as i got the now known female from only a couple weeks old and was waiting for the pointy tail to develop as i thought it was a male and was never planning on breeding my fish. I was able to get 21 into a net but only 10 survived to the morning. So 1st thing i went and got a double breeding box and have transfered them into it. i read on some forums that they can have more babies 2 to 3 weeks after birth again. Do i need to get another breeding box or will these ones be grown up enough to transfer into my main tank to do the next batch.

At just about a month old they will be just barely big enough to survive with adults if they have some cover to hide in. Rather than worry about getting another breeding net, I would go find some nice java moss for the fry to hide in.
