Well i have 2 platys one is male one is female i also have a sword tail that is following the female platy around the tank. Could a sword and a platy have fry? Im just wondering???

My male guppy has been constantly trying to breed with my female swordtail,now i have a fair bit of experince with tropicals and have never heard of anything like that before so i cant even say for sure that a guppy/swordtail will or wont work.
That said its the same guppy that tried to get it on with my 3 spot gourami.
