Missy
Fish Fanatic
I'm pretty sure one of my swords had babies last night. Probably brought on by last night's water change. I cannot find even one baby in the tank, sadly I think they were eaten, however she is definetely much thinner than last night and I found her this morning sitting in a leaf of a Brazilian Sword. I moved her to a net breeder in case she had more babies and to recover however, now she is laying on the bottom of the net. Is this usual behavior.
I just lost a guppy after she had babies and both of my mollies died shortly after their babies. I seem to be losing all my females to childbirth.
FYI. I think the guppy died from stress. I had just purchased her the day before and she wasn't very big to be having babies, although they are all doing well, I think it was a stress induced delivery.
My two mollies delivered and both died within two days of delivery. However, they were in the same tank (the swords in this one too) that is having a problem with Nitrites, getting better every day but still elevated.
Hoping I don't lose another mom.
