Swollen Gourami

please help
my dwarf gourami has become very swollen behind the gills on both sides in last half hour and getting worse
could some one please give me any ideas as to what it is im new to hobby

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
Are the gills red and inflamed.
Anys sgins of flicking and rubbing.
Is the fish laboured breathing as well.
Is there a hole in the gill.

What have you been feeding him? Does he seem to go to the bathroom normally?
