Swollen Channa

So 1 of my gachuas bellys has swollen up pretty badly it's been like over a week with no signs of it getting any better, it still swims fine other than it being bloated and it is eating fine not really sure what to do about it? any channa keepers have any ideas?? Thanks camera is broke atm so cant post a pic soz!

Quite difficult really without pictures mate, you say its swimming fine,obviously channa stay perched unless swimming, this is normal yeah, feeding well? tank mates?
Could well be bloated, have you tried feeding some deshelled peas, belive it or not channa actually like them, there good for digestion, used alot with Cichlids, how long have you had them?

I know soz mate dropped camera down the beach She is swimming fine and eating fine the only other tankmates are 4 more of the same gachua. I noticed today when she goes up for air she is making a gurgling noise as if she is letting out water?? Cheers for the advise will give the peas a try and try get a pic posted. Also i have had them roughly a year.

See if you can find Gasmask and ask him, or maybe join the snakehead specailist forum, google snakehead forum, should be the 1st..
Alot of knowledge there..
Ive been lucky with my fish so not much exsperience with sick fish,

does it look like this...'Dropsy' or 'Malawi bloat'

Yeah im on TSF but thought i'd try on here first. Yeah he is bloated exactly the same as the channa in the picture Dropsy or Malawi bloat u say do u know the best way to treat this? Cheers mate
