Switiching To Sand

we`ve swapped all our tanks to sand now and its easy, personaly i don`t think that the bacteria in the substrate mate5rs that mucjh as everuy tank we`ve done weve scooped the gravel out add3ed sand (it settled in a couple of hours) and no spikes in anything...... but al our tanks are pretty well filtered.

I did the same, didnt bother with the gravel, just replaced it with sand. But like you, my tank is also very overfiltered.
