Hello.

I have a fish swimming on his side, or tail up, he isn't staying in a propper fish position for very long.  He's been swimming a little off on and off for the past couple weeks and I've been going through the cycle of fast for 2 days then feed peas for a day, then continuing on the normal flake and pellet food.  I do soak the food for 5-10 minutes in tank water before feeding.  Is there anything else that I can try to do to help him beyond this?

Also, are red capped oranda goldfish really prone to swim bladder issues?  I lost one at the beginning of November as well, though that one was flipping upside-down moreso than this one is.

Thanks

im no expert but tell us a little about size tank
ammonia ph nitrite nitrates? watcher changes you have done?

34g long stocked with 2 red capped oranda, 1 goldfish fry, and 1 bristlenose pleco.  I do weekly 10-25% w/c, last one was about a week ago, planning on doing another either tonight or tomorrow.  I'll post the test results when I get home.

Test results:
NH3/NH4: 0
NO2: 0
pH: 8-8.2
temp: 66, increasing to 72 tonight, will increase to 76 tomorrow.

He looks to be staying erect better, but will still float up tail-first and wobbles a little bit while swimming.

Just another thing I thought of after looking around on here... my oranda that I lost a month ago looked to not really be growing and seemed to be wasting away despite the fact that he was eatiing around the time that the swim bladder issue took hold.  The current swim bladder issue one is also growing slow (at least in comparison with the healthy oranda, which was originally smaller and now is definitely larger than the sick one).  The sick fish also did have lighter colored feces before I started feeding the peas (pea-green now) and has been defecating the entire time, even before I fed the peas.  Despite this he is still floating tail-up and sometimes sideways, which I believe indicates that its either parasites or bacterial.  What should I use to treat him?
