I have recently bred apistogramma cacatuoides for the first time. Its about a month and a half after spawn and the father has developed swim bladder disease. I have seen this disorder in bettas due to over feeding and this case is different he is completely fine but cannot float and sinks to the bottom; but still feeding gradually; though getting more stressed, (no bulge). This made me look again at the fry and 3 out of the 11 i have not given away are exactly the same, before i thought their hugging the sand was a survival mechanism. I will terminate them but im worried that perhaps the illness could be delayed as in the male. If anybody has experience with this please share it would be much appreciated.
