Haven't been on here in a while. So helloo!

Anyway since I was last on here I ventured into getting a piranha. And called it Fluffy. Go me.

I also now have a bigger tank and things are going well.

However, I'm thinking of swapping the two filters between the two tanks. The filters and tanks are both are 100l so there's no issues with circulation or anything.

Would it be a simple swap between the two tanks, literally take them out and swap them?

Thankies

Why do you want to swap them? I'd be worried about transferring something from one tank to another, but I'm just overly cautious that way. Really shouldn't be a problem.

Basically. The one in the community tank is really big and chunky and the one in the piranha tank is smaller.

I'd just prefer to have them the other way round...

The amount of beneficial bacteria that populates each filter is different as it depends on the bioload/stock, not the size of tank, so you can cause ammonia spikes in at least one tank.
If you decide to swap the filters, swap all the media too.
