Swapping Filters

i'm currently running a fluval 104 i've just got a bargain eheim 2213.

both have media in but the fluval has been running for a year in this tank, how long will i need to leave both filters running in my tank?

my guess would be a week or so.

Just squeeze some bacteria onto the new sponges off the old fluval sponges, and it will get things going faster.
