When I left for work this morning everyone's A-OK and enjoying breakfast, when i get home this evening Mrs Dwarf Gourami is dead and half eaten at the bottom of the tank. I don't want any more of my fish to go the same way.... does anyone have any idea which of the inmates could have done this?

The tank has:

1 f molly
1 f platy
1 m swordtail
2 f swordtails
3 m guppies
3 peacock gobies of indeterminate sex
2 badis badis " " "
2 Agassiz corys " " "
Pair dwarf Agassiz cichlids
1 m Dwarf Gourami
1 butterfly pleco " " "
1 bulldog pleco " " "

Only the livebearers are anywhere near full grown, all the rest are either babies or adolescents.

Any advice appreciated.

Sarah

It might not be any of your fish, My guess would be that your fish died and then was eaten by the others. How long have the fish been together? Check your water parameters too.

Are your apistos breeding? (agassazi cichlids) The gourami might of strayed into their territory, been harrassed to death, then eaten by the other fish -_-

The plecos probably ate it, and my guess is it died without any help from the others. Those are pretty peaceful fish.
