Hello everyone! About 3-4 months ago my father bought a stunningly handsome blue betta fish; The betta's name is Darko, and he is officially mine since my father was too careless and lazy to feed him or even clean his tank. I clean his tank regularly (in about 1-2) weeks and use a water conditioner along with it and feed him 3-4 pellets of food every day. He doesn't seem to sit around or float to the bottom of the tank, he is a very active little betta and when he sees me he swims right to me. He eats all the food I give him and his color is bright and vibrant, however I do have suspicion of pop eye. I worry a bit and I want to know if my betta has it, so I can spot it and give him proper medication just in case! Are there any early signs I should start looking for? Such as:
-I know that pop eye is when the eyes pop out unusually, but what exactly does that look like? My betta fish's eyes are clear, seemingly healthy-looking, but they are a bit popped out from maybe about 1-3 centimeters out, but as I mentioned before, he is still very active, eats his food, and I change his water almost weekly.

Should I be worried, start looking for signs, or just relax?

Oh yes yes! I'm glad you caught that! I meant 3mm! And thank you very much, I will read. :]

hi and WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!!
popeye is pretty obvious. the eye would be literally looking as if it is popping out of his head. for now up the waterchanges to around 30% 2-3 times a week for a week or so and see if he stays the same or even improves. if his eyes seem to get bigger, get some epsom salt to draw fluid out of the tissues.

i suspect hes fine, but keep a close watch on him while upping the waterchanges. glad to have a new member. posting a pic if you are able would be very helpful in determining if it is in fact popeye (plus, we love to see pics of everyones fishies :D
best of luck-
cheers
