Suspected Diesease...

i got a VT Male on thursday and i think he has some problems, allthough he has blown me 2 bubble nests within those 3 days. he has a small chunk of flesh missing from his back. looks to me like a nip (i suspect from the fish shop i bought him from as he was with rummy nose tetras). he also he what looks like a fungal infection on his head although it is of the same colour as the rest of him and isnt particularly obvious. does anyone know of any good suppliers of bettas in England who supply exotic bettas (not just of incase he goes but also and mainly because im after some more)???
any help/suggestions would be great.

If he has fungus, treat with an anti-fungal, a bit of salt and keep the water very clean. By exotic, do you mean different tail types or wilds? Either can probably be ordered in by your lfs, or KG Bettas has many different tail types. BTW, whats with the goldfish?

yeh i mean tail types. the goldfish, oh here we go, yeh i got them a good few years ago when i was bout 11 or 12. im 15 now. dont really want them no more cos they have a large bowl (5G) and i want to use it for another betta really. the problem is that the betta doesnt seem at all bothered. he has made 3 bubblenests and its been since thursday...
ill see how it goes, ill try get some aquarium salt etc.

its the same colour on the head as the body etc, but it seems to be sort of a differant texture...
if it is columnaris then what is it and what should i do?

no its just slightly darker red (red is his body colour) and has a sort of, raised appearance.
im really not sure though how to describe it.
