now we are all well aware of how the guppy species has become somewhat inbred/weakened etc, my question is whether or not its feasable to assume that if a pure bred guppy was to "play mummies and daddies" with a weaker inbred species that the resulting fry would have much better health.

If so, then therefor, if these half pure guppy were to breed with pure guppy the result would mean even healthier fish...

so by gradually watering down the weaker species, these fish would surely have healthier, happier lives...

Am I right???

How do you define pure bred? Surely, the pure breds sold by serious breeders have become pure breds through a form of inbreeding? And I have to say some of the ones I've seen look extremely good. The main difference seems to be between knowledgeable inbreeding/line breeding and careless/accidental/irresponsible inbreeding.
Or did you mean crossing with wild guppies?
