Sunfish Stocking Help.

in a 40 gallon breeder could i do two orange spotted sunfish two blue spotted sunfish and a school of 7 red bellied dace be ok in this tank i will have 110 gallons of filtration on this tank with 3 different fillters a marineland  Emperor 280 a toms mini canister filter and a Aquatop PF40-UV Power Filter

I Just got some Green Sunfish (5) and they are by themselves in a 55 gallon tank. I would just stick with the sunfish in the 40gal. they are quite territorial and may tear up your dace or even eat them.

With larger sunfish like greens and such that is very true, but orangespots are small and bluespots are even smaller and both are generally mild mannered, but can still be a little pushy. Think of them as the blue rams and bolivian rams of North America.
