Sump Fish

just a quick question...ive got a 4 foot sump which i have made for my breeding tanks and have got coolies in it and was wondering wat else i could put in there...it has all dif compartments but r linked so stuff can get around...any ideas ?...want to try and keep it natually clean...tx in advance

i normally try and keep fish out my sumps as there's a chance the fish will get mixed by the return pump.

Also the fish are only going to make more mess in the sump. More fish = more bioload = more waste in system.

i understand what you are saying but it dont have to be fish...i heard you could put cherry shrimp in there just to clean it...i have 5 coolies in there and they love it...my sump is 4 foot so theres plenty of filtration
