Sump Clearout

gonna be clearing out some of the macro algae in my sump soon.

just wondered if anyone wanted some rather than me just throwing it on the garden.
could post if the P&P is covered.

algae is a mix of caulerpa (grape and fern type) and some others.
is full of life.

no, as i say its only gonna get chucked.
I took half a 3 gallon bucket out a few weeks ago, and thought 'what a waste, i'm sure someone would need this'.

so decided to see if anyone did want it next time round.

just got your pm tina. How much do you want? could fill a bag and put it in a A5 size envelope?
do you reckon it would be ok first class posted? (it'd reduce the p&p cost, rather than special delivery).

Thats is absolutely great, weight should not be a problem, just as you say the size of the envelope, just fill that size. It is worth it just to get some extra life, never does any harm to introduce more life to the sump.

If I get the Caulerpa growing nice in there, I can then split some for the sump sea horse tank I am planning for the upgrade.



Got some Acrylic today, can make a DSB basket to plant the caulerpa in, and place in the return section, make a screen with holes cut out to prevent the algae entering and clogging the pump.

Gonna make allsorts with this sheet of Acrylic.
