Sulking, Scared Or Sick?

My betta's been fine until today, he's been active, eating ok etc.
The only change is I bought some orange shrimp this morning.
Since I added them, he's hardly moved from his spot under the wood.
He came up to eat, then went straight back to his safe place.
Should I be worried?
My water stats are ok with 0 ammonia & nitrites, nitrates are at 20

He could just be a little stressed from the add of the shrimp?

no, I netted them into the tank.
Maybe he's just a scaredy cat, I'll keep an eye on him over the next few days

Do you notice anything physically wrong with him. Like white spots, open wounds, etc. and did you quarantine the shrimp, they possibly could have carried something with them and transferred it not your tank

He looks fine, no obvious wounds or spots
I didn't quarantine the shrimp though.
The Lfs I got them from, I spent ages looking at the tank they were in, all the fish looked healthy, & it's a place I got a lot of my fish from & never had a problem.
The endlers in the same tank as my Betta are all fine not showing any signs of anything wrong
