Suitable tank mate..

Hi there...

I've currently got a50 gal. tank with one Green sev. And two clown barbs...I just want to know what are some suitable tank mates for a sev. He's just a baby ( under 2") and seems to be quite placid....I will eventually be setting up a 70 gal. when he is fully grown but in the meantime im wondering about what else i can add to this tank....any suggestions/ideas would be great.

Another Severum maybe. Or any large(ish) Cichlid that isn't too aggressive. Blue Acara would work I suppose.
Severum are supposed to be peaceful, but mine is an evil git and has killed my Jurapari and taken some chunks from my oscar. But as a general rule they are quite peaceful for such a large cichlid

How about a gold severum? I've had both very peacful until they mate . Would bite me all the time, but did not bother the other fish other than chase them from their area. I have had oscars, convicts ,firemouths, silver dollars, red hooks,pleco's and even angels with them. The only one I listed, I would be hesitant about is the angles. I had no problems with the sevs and angles but don't know if I was just lucky.

Most large NW cichlids should be fine. They aren't usually too aggressive, but mine is, the little wierdo.

theres heaps of tank mates for it, blue acaras, firemouths, jack dempsys, blood parrots, take a pic.

as a newbie myself i may be slightly off the mark here but i have two cichlasoma coryphaenoides ( chocolate cichlids } approx 10cm which i purchased in error. they are both males.
i bought them believing they were uaru amphiacanthoides ( also known as chocolate cichlid)
if they are of interest to you , i dont want cash for them , i just want them to go to good home.
they are both fine healthy fish
