Suitable For Plant Growth?

So I've got this rock here and I want to grow something on it. Its a pebble/bolder I've had In my tank for a while now but I'm not sure what will take hold. I've heard of plants growing on rocks but it sounds like it might be difficult to do, any suggestions?

You should probably just get some rope and attacth some plants to the rock with it. Some plants that may work are some types of mosses, java fern, and anubias
