Today, I have found 3 shrimp dried out, one on the carpet and 2 in a cup that I use for water changes next to my tank. I think it's since I put a filter in my fry tank, they have been able to get on top of it. I had 4 shrimp, and so far I can't find the fourth one, it may be burried under the VERY BIG clump of java moss, or it might have got out. What do you recommend doing?

Well with shrimp you should have a lid with no holes - because they can escape - as I'm sure you've found out. But that's a very high rate (unsual) - and if I were you, I'd check the water and the conditions they are kept under. Shrimp are extremely good indicators of water quality - and if it's not tip top up to scratch, they will find any possibly way to get out.

Well, as soon as I get up in the morning it's a 50% water change. I can't do it now because i'll wake my mam up, and I don't have a test kit so i'll have to rely on the water change. I know the tank has alot of algae on the glass, so I put one of my baby plecs in and let him have a field day/night.
