I have a 15g that I plaining to re stock, and was hoping of a small comunity of dwafts. Would this be posible in such a small tank.

If not is there any that will get on with any tpyes of fish, like tetra's ect.

Any thing will have to get on with the long term residentsa that are staying, witch are 2 Badis Badis, BN Pl*co, 2 corys and one ADF.

please help me out, I giving up my guppies, I get so stressed with breeding them, I want to finaly enjoy watching my tanks.

Thanks

i dont think that you could but maybee a krib ( but i think they come in pairs so that maybee no good to you ) :dunno:

I wouldn't recommend any dwarfs that I'm familiar with b/c they are mainly bottom dwellers. If you got a breeding pair, they'd be likely to take out your cories or ADF and if you got a same sex pair, they might fight each other to the death. You could do ONE dwarf, like a ram or a krib, but they really do better in pairs.

Id say a 15 Gal MIGHT be big enough for one dwarf... alone. If you want to keep the fish you have I'd call it a no go.

Cockatoo Dwarfs are peaceful and the hardiest of the dwarfs. You could have one pair in a 15 I would say. They are cave breeders, but I have had no problems at all with spawning females "taking out" any of her tank mates. I have seen a clown loach get too close the the entrance, and she darted out to scare it, but that has been the worst.

Thankyou guys.

I'm interested in Cockatoo Dwarfs, there very pretty, interesting fish. I just want to make shore that 1, the tank not to small, and 2, they will get on with the long termers.

Sadly looking like I may have to re think.

a 15 gal would be tight for a pair of dwarf cichlids by them selves , the male apisto would more than likely kill his mate , it happened to me in my 70 gal , If it was 30 or 40 gallons I'd say you'd have a chance , :D but some peacock gudgeons would fit nicely  , and will get along fine in there .
