I've got my Tang tank up and running now, and all seems to be going very well and everyone is happy.

I'm really undecied on what to add next though. I'd like something thats out in the open a lot, something a little active. But I'm really stuck for ideas/knowledge, especially as my tank is only 100 litres - I have to be careful what I pick!

Currently I have;

2x Bristlenose (from my old tropical setup).
3x Julidochromis Marlieri (hoping I have a pair in there!)
2x Lamprologus Ocellatus (male & female).

Here is a little video of them - they'd only been in the tank an hour at this point so are all a little pale.

I read a post from Neale (nmonks) recently suggesting Cyprichromis as a relatively placid open water genus from Tanganyika, to the extent that they can be mixed with some non-Tangs.

Hi, have been researching Cyps for a future tank but have been advised 36"X18" tank :unsure: , I was going to suggest Neo. Lelupi or Neo. Caudopunctatus if you wanted to keep the tank on a Tanganyikan theme, not strictly open water shoalers but I'm sure 3-4 Caudopunks would look good in there. I think it's Doresy who has a Caudopunk in with a couple of Lelupis so he might be able to advise better on there behaviour. :good:
I had 1 Caudopunctatus with 1 Julidochromis Dickfeldi and found they were fine :good:

Hi, you can see what I have in my signature....I would suggest Cyprichromis Leptosoma for placid mid-water and active additions.

I also have a Haplochromis Moorii (Malawi) which I received by accident as a juvi. It has grown up to be a delightful mid-water fish but I may have just got lucky.
