I have a space for a 4 foot tank in the shed thinking something different to malawis? so tan tank? what could i keep in a 4 foot ie a shellie type rock and open water? would this be too much? never kept them so need some help!

Also I have a plec tank with some neons which is so boring sorry plec neon keepers! any ideas what would work in respect to a dwarf cichlid pair like kribs?

Shells one end for a shells dweller type you like, rocks the other for Julidochromis or Caudopunctatus(NIIIICE!!!!), and some Cyprichromis in the open column, 4' is a great size for a Tanganyikan tank, as long as you give each type its own space/territory it usually works fine... I am in the pocess of reworking 2x 4' tanks, one at the moment has 3 shell dweller types, 1 rock/shell type and loads of juvenile Cyprichromis... The second tank has just been set back up and will hold a colony of Multifasciatus (keep finding loads of fry), the Caudopunks and Sumbu shell have recently spawned as well so as said 4' is a good size. The behaviour of the Tanganyikan cichlids is very interesting to watch also.... :good: Looking forward to redoing the other tank also....

Be nice to see what yuou come up with, cheers , Sean :good:

1- shellies, rock dweller, cyps
2 - sand sifters , cyps
3 - paracyps , sand sifters
To many choices LOL

Yes you can fit all those in. You could prob squeeze two rck dwellers in depending on what they are. Do you want a community tank or something different?, as a sandsifter, cyp tank would be cool.
