ok so far i have ironed out in my tank
-4 angelfish
-3 pim pictus
-6 aeneus cories
Its a 55. What else should i add that swims around a lot. So far my little brother wants tiger barbs and my dad wants an iridescent shark. Are either of these ok? Also i was thinking about a severum or keyhole cichlid. I ditched the clown loaches and farlowellas that i wanted b4 bcuz The loaches are too sesceptible to disease and the farlowellas at the store looked really unhealthy.

No. Iridescent sharks get to over 5' and need to be kept in groups.
Barbs will most likely nip the angels' fins, even if in groups.

Cichlids would work, though they might need dither fish, which you might not have enough room for.

just got back from LFS and home depot(stands almost done!) and while i was there i was looking around and saw that they have blue rams. Would these work?

Rams = cichlids. :D

yeah i know but i wanted to make sure they werent fin nippers or anything.

Yah I just saw those in my LFS a couple days ago and changed my planned list of fish to suit them.. :)

No, they won't nip fins. However, they are somewhat reclusive, so you will need other fish to swim around the tank and show them that it is safe to come out. I'm not sure if the angels will serve that purpose or intimidate them...

-6 medium sized tetras (maybe black phantoms?)

With good filtration and plenty of hiding places, I think that'd be a very nice 55g.

Good luck with your choices!

the angels and rams will get along great i have both in a tank together and thy all love to swim around together, so i would say deffinitly go for it

yeah. I have a penguin 330 and am planning on getting a roman coliseum for the tank. I think that tank'll work as my mom LOVES tetras

Iridescent sharks don't get to 5 feet ( well maybe if you kept them in South China Sea) they can get to 12 " in a large enough tank after years. Any body have experience raising them

Um, its only 12" if you live in the imaginary world of walmart employees. Ive personally seen these fish at 36"

Iridescent sharks usually don't get over 12" in captivity, but I imagine that's just because people usually keep them in tanks that are way way way too small for a fish of that potential size.
