A pair of keyholes and a couple of laetacara curviceps would be nice. I keep keyholes and curviceps in a planted tank and they (pretty much) leave the plants alone, they are not prolific diggers either like some SA cichlids.

Depends on your water really, if you have soft water and a pristine mainenence regime you could go for a group of GB Rams, I have never been able to keep these alive for more than 6 -7 months even though my maintenance is excellent, think it is down to the ph mine is around 7.5. Had the same problem with apistograma species, so unless your water is suitable or you are prepared to mess around with your water chemistry I would go for one of the dwarf acara species, they are very comical fish with bags of personality and not overly agressive.

I keep mine with denisoni barbs, BN plecs, various cories (skunk, bronze, bandit and panda) botia loach, SAE and african fan shrimp. The only thing I believe may have been a victim where my amano shrimp which have disapeared from the tank since the introduction of the keyholes and curviceps.

Hope this helps as these are just from my experience,

Regards,

Mark
