Suggestion And Help For My Tank.

i have 18 gallon tank with flora max substrate, java moss on bog wood, cobomba, anubias nana, dwarf sagitteria and glosso plant.
 
I was looking for some stocking for my tank. I like neon tetra or guppies and also like shrimp advice me some center piece fish.

What are the dimensions of your tank, OP, and is your water hard or soft?

If you did the gourami, the shrimp would be a no go, they are easy yummy meals. 
 
What type of fish are you into? Looking for schoolers or? I know you mentioned neons but think of cardinals instead. They supposedly school tighter and look better together. 
 
Just keep in mind that the length of the tank is very important to schoolers.

I am not fan of gourami. BTW my tank size is 22.8 * 22.2 * 11.8(W*H*L)
