Sugestions For Carpeting Plants

i have a two tanks both with sand substrate and a mixture of anuabus and java ferns attached to bogwood, and a few amizon swords which all have grown really well. i would like to add some sort of carpeting plant or short bushy plant mainly for fry to hide in. but all that iv tried have either been uprooted or died. i dont use any fertilizer or co2. i have t8 lighing which is on for around 11 hours a day.

If your not dosing id go with Pygmy chain swords, very low maintenance plants.
