I am currently setting up an Asian river biotope tank, low light and have always been interested in keeping Pellia. However, I am not able to find the origin of this plant. I know it has a German name and it is being propagated from tissue culture, but other than that, nothing!

Does anybody have a clue where this species comes from? Thanks!

Hi Biulu, look for this plant...

Monosolenium tenerum

It's from Asia

Do you really need some? I happen to have some. You think I could ship to Canada?

Ever since I've seen that plant in your tanks, I wanted to have it . If it is Asian, then that is perfect. Of course I could try java moss too, but somehow I always end up having thread algae in them, plus the moss looks quickly untidy. I wanted to put some pellia on boulders to create a look that you often see in rivers; the top of the boulders being green.

I would love to get some from you as I still have to find it here in Montreal. I think you can ship; people regularly import killifish eggs as well. Please pm me to let me know how I pay you and exchange other details.
