bought one just like it on ebay...not as nice though...scares the fishies at first, then they started to school with it. its kinda neat.
 
Now then, add a range of tools on and its a great idea:

1 - Algea scraper, make cleaning the glass more fun
2 - plant cutter
3 - gravel vac
4 - camera - get close up action shots without marks on the glass
5 - net for catching the pesky fish that head for the plants when you want to catch them.

the motor is angled so that when you power it up, it dives. otherwise, its filled with foam so that it floats. as for rigging tools to it, i really doubt that it could handle the load, but it is worth a shot i guess...
