so i found a lot of fish and plants that are stringy and i have an idea for a tank of them...

fish: Top: Glass catfish.
mid: pearl gourami
bottom: khuli loaches

hardscape: Spider Wood, river rock, sand.

plants:
BACK: Giant Vals., Water Lettuce, Cabomba, Hornwort
MID: vals., paddy herb, lotus
FRONT: Micro-sword

The Pearl Guramis will be on the surface and the glass catfish in the middle. Not a great mix glass cats like a tank just to themselves.

Glass catfish tend to hand around the lower half of the tank, gouramis tend to live in the upper half.

Giant Vallis doesn't do well in tanks. Narrow Vallis is much better.

Cabomba can be hard to grow. Ambulia looks similar and is much easier to grow.

Just wondering - would the zingy behavior of kuhli loaches rattle and stress glass catfish? I've never kept the two together, but it seems off to me.

Not a good mixture of fish - Glass Catfish are extremely skittish.
