Stupid Question

Hi

I know this is a stupid question but just for peace of mind.
I bought some green slate and it was a lot cheaper than the grey/blue slate so I wondered is it the same and safe to put it in the tank?

Slate comes in different colors (black, blue, green, purple, you name it). They're pretty much the same

erm no they are not all the same
some have impurities in them that can cause
problems in an aquarium.

avoid any that have a rusty apearance and definately avoid green slate.
