how do I change or set up pH?

And how do I check it to see if it's right?

There are drops to decrease or increase the pH in the tank. To check you pH, buy a test kit. Then you'll know if you need to adjust it or if it's level.

Unless your PH is really out of whack, it is best to leave it alone. Most fish will adapt quite well to a variety of PH readings. PH can be a very touchy thing, when you start playing with it you can quickly create a highly unstable environment and run the risk of a total crash of the tank.
