So this morning i was doing water changes on my tanks.
I have moved the Ranchus indoors to "Over Winter", And i was using my DIY Python.
Went into the garden to check on Mums Lychee Tree as the Frost is starting.
Walking abck inside i noticed that the water had stopped draining.

Walk over to the Ranchus Tank and see that the python is clogged.
Me thinking that a moss ball has got sucked into it start shaking it loose.

What a suprise when the Biggest Ranchu Plops out of it.
This fish is 5 Inches Long and Over 2 inches round.
How on earth it fir into a 1inch tube i do not know.

He was stunned for a while and some mucky blood came out of his gills.

Ten Minutes later he was fine and swimming around with the other Ranchus.
Is there anything i should add to the tank.

I DO NOT use ANY Meds. Just Natural plants and extracts in all my tanks.

I have added some Ketapang Leaves and gave Him Spirulina.

Is there a Meds i should get that wont upset the non med balance i have.

if it were me, I'd add some melafix. a natural antibiotic that will also coat
the gill membranes and help promote any regrowth of damaged tissue.

can I suggest that next time you have a guard of some kind on the inlet,
I use an Eheim snail guard (IE cannister filter intake guard)
for prevention of just such accidents.
