Stunted growth?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any tank conditions that could slow the growth of guppy fry? I have a group of about 20 6 wk olds, and although some are developing color, they area all super tiny....about the size I would expect them to be at 3 wks based on past batches. The chemical perameters all seem fine and I feed them several times each day. I just don't know whats going on. Any ideas? Any thoughts on how to help them grow faster?

do you have them in one of those breeder box things? i find that fry grow slower in those..and with numbers like 20 its going to be pretty cramped

Good question-I have them in a 2 1/2 gallon tank and added an air stone in there as soon as I thought they could handle it (about 2 wks). Unfortunately the heater is broken, but I live in CA so the temp is a constant 75-76 degrees, and I make sure to keep their light on as often as possible to help with the heat.

Ive heard people saying that fry grow faster outside..maybe you could try that out? its upto you i guess..
