I have 3 black fin tetras that are at least 7 years old. 2 of the 3 have a grey mass on one eye. They are active and always chasing each other. They have had this for several months. I tryed Maracyn, Formalin, copper safe, and malachite green. ( not all at the same time) The mass has not gotten larger or smaller. I tryed taking photos but had no luck. What should I try next?
Is it possible they are damging the eyes when they chase each other? But it's still the same eye on each fish and it doesn't get better or worse. Don T.

Are you sure it is nothing like cloudy eye?
How often do you do water changes?

It is thick. It sticks out from the eye. It does not cover the whole eye. They are in a hospital tank with medication but I changed 50% of the water a week ago. Don T.

Any possibility of worms you think?

Are you able to get a picture up at all this time?? I'm sure this would greatly help, as I know you have been having this problem for a while.

It does not look like worms. It is homogenious , like a little grey glob. Don T.
