Struggling cory -

Hi all

Struggling cory in my tank. Currently lying at the bottom almost motionless, doubt the fish will survive but has a red blue on its body. Any ideas what this is and whether any treatment is required to prevent issues to the remaining fish?

pH - 6.8
Kh - 2.5dkh
Ammonia - 0
Nitrites - 0
Nitrate - 0 (moderately planted tank a possibility?)

That is a seriously nasty wound. That looks like a fish that is dying slowly and, I suspect, painfully.
As to the 'why?', I haven't got a clue...unless it was injured leaving it's sanctuary, when you lifted the wood up to vacuum.

You could re-arrange the gravel so that there is one, long, continuous slope, down to a front corner of the tank. Leave this clear of stuff and the waste should naturally flow down to that point, where you can suck it out more easily.

Problem solved I think. It has passed and when looking it appeared to have been stabbed by something looking remarkably like a fish bone.
I found it very near a dead fish, which I hadn't found for weeks! It was nestled inside a narrow groove in the wood.
