I posted a while back concerning a new tank setup with fish dying showing no symptoms.

The tank is 150 litres 48*18*12 inches

Ammonia 0 , nitrite 0, nitrate registering

I never really knew what was wrong with the tank, until the demise of my honey gourami, which displayed flicking behaviour

I treated the tank with sterazin and it has been almost 2 weeks since the end of treatment now

Yesterday after feeding the fish (5 platys and 1 cory) I notices white stringy poo coming from a platy, I also noticed a pink shade of poo floating in the tank..i checked the platys and their anus does look red, but behaviour seems fine

Can anyone advise a course of action/ identify cause? Please...

Could be Internal parasites if its like a white coloured stringy poo.
Medication depends if your UK or US

i originally used a product called sterazin (waterlife) from uk, which was meant to help against parasites

im in the UK

the white stringy poo I only noticed yesterday from one platy, the pink poo (through searching this site) I believe maybe due to the flake food being this kind of colour. I will feed the fish peas today, just in case its constipation, however I have lost numerous fish since starting up the tank (fishless cycled) and am still unsure why..

I was thinking of using melafix in the tank, a lot of ppl seem to use it and as it doesn’t harm the fish, it might be worth a shot???
