I bought a crowntail almost 2 weeks ago now and he is a very sociable fish, he immediately sprints to the glass when I go over to it and moves where ever I go and he loves me to put my finger on the glass so he can chass it around.

Well, 2 days ago he blew a big bubble nest, I had to do a partial water change and clean a little of the tank, and it destroyed his nest, after I got done cleaning, I saw that he was turning almost white on his head and gills, I knew it must have really stressed him out doing the water change and cleaning, but about 15 minutes later he was back to normal.

yesterday went as always, we played a bit and of course he eats like a 10000000 pound pig,lol

Today, I came home from work and saw that he blew another big nest, and as soon as i walk up to the tank he swam over and I fed him and we played a bit and everything was normal,

So I walked over to the side where his nest was, and looked at it, he swam under it and almost turned white immediatly just staring at me, I walked to the other side of the tank, and he stayed under his nest, where he has been for he last 20 minutes, he has turned back normal color, but won't leave his nest.

Is this normal, iv had 2 other bettas before and none of them has done this.

Could he actully be mad at me from last time?

Has anyone else seen this?

yep they do that next time u clean the tank, grab a plastic spoon and carry the nest to another tank
